Uniform

At Lucy Mai Dance Company, our uniform reflects the professionalism, pride and sense of belonging that defines our studio. Wearing the correct uniform creates consistency across classes, allows teachers to provide safe and effective technical corrections, and encourages dancers to present themselves with confidence.

All dancers are expected to attend class in the appropriate uniform with the correct footwear for their chosen style.

Mini & Junior Dancers (12 years & under)

• White leotard or crop top

• Black dance shorts or leggings

• Appropriate dance shoes for each class

Senior Dancers (13+ years)

• Black leotard or crop top

• Black dance shorts or leggings

• Appropriate dance shoes for each class

Ballet Uniform

Dancers enrolled in ballet classes are required to wear a traditional ballet uniform to support proper alignment and technique.

Mini & Junior Ballet

• White ballet leotard

• Pink ballet tights

• Pink ballet shoes

Senior Ballet

• Black ballet leotard

• Pink ballet tights

• Pink ballet shoes

• Pointe shoes (where applicable)

Hair Requirements

To maintain a professional standard and ensure hair does not interfere with training, all dancers must wear their hair in a neat, slick low bun with a centre part for every class.

Hair should be securely styled before arriving at the studio. Loose hair, ponytails and untidy hairstyles are not permitted unless otherwise advised for a specific class or performance.
