Founder & Director
Lucy Mai Baldwin founded Lucy Mai Dance Company with a vision to redefine what a dance studio can be.
Having danced since the age of six, Lucy's journey has included training across a wide range of styles, completing various dance examinations, opportunities with Melbourne City Ballet and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, becoming an Acrobatic Arts Certified Teacher, and completing her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management. These experiences continue to shape her modern approach to dance education.
Today, LMDC is built on a simple philosophy: that great dance education extends beyond technique. By combining safe dance practice, student wellbeing and innovative teaching methods, Lucy has created a forward-thinking studio where dancers are empowered to grow with confidence, creativity and purpose.
Whether a dancer is taking their very first class or pursuing advanced training, every student is encouraged to feel supported, challenged and inspired—because at LMDC, dance is about building confident people as much as exceptional performers.
